FAQS
How do I choose between a small (e.g., B0306) and a large (e.g., B1225) burr?
It depends on your precision needs and the tool's power. Small burrs (3mm-6mm) are perfect for intricate mold work and tight corners where control is key. Larger burrs (10mm-12mm) are designed for rapid material removal on large surfaces. Always ensure your die grinder has the torque to handle larger diameters without stalling.
When should I choose a Type B (Cylindrical with End Cut) over a standard Type A?
Choose Type B whenever you need to machine a flat bottom or a 90-degree internal shoulder. The addition of end-cut teeth allows you to face the bottom of a hole while simultaneously grinding the side walls, a task standard cylindrical burrs cannot perform efficiently.
Do different sizes require different speeds?
Yes. As a general rule, the smaller the burr, the higher the RPM it requires. For a B0306, you might run at 30,000 RPM, whereas a larger B1225 should be kept closer to 15,000-20,000 RPM to prevent overheating and ensure safety. Always check your tool's maximum rated speed.
